Get to Know
Dr. Sunjay Lad
Dr. Sunjay Lad was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and grew up in his father’s dental practice, spending school vacations helping around the office and learning firsthand the value of genuine, compassionate patient care. Watching how his father built trust and long-term relationships with patients sparked a lifelong passion for dentistry and shaped the way he practices today.
A graduate of Stanford University and the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, Dr. Sunjay has had the privilege of serving his patients for over 17 years. In addition to providing care within our practice, Dr. Sunjay served as Clinical Faculty at the USC School of Dentistry for over 10 years, helping educate the next generation of dental professionals.
Dr. Sunjay is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society. He has previously served as President of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society and served on the Board of Directors of the California Dental Association. In recognition of his commitment to leadership and professionalism in dentistry, Dr. Sunjay has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Sunjay finds great fulfillment in comprehensive dentistry, particularly focusing on esthetic and restorative treatments such as full smile rehabilitations. He enjoys the transformative nature of these cases, where patients experience a dramatic boost in confidence and overall appearance. Additionally, he has completed advanced training in dental implants, allowing him to both place and restore dental implants, providing patients with reliable solutions for missing teeth.
When he’s not creating smiles, you can find Dr. Sunjay coaching his kids’ soccer teams in the fall and chasing them down the ski slopes in the winter. He is also a self-admitted music geek and enjoys playing guitar and adding to his ever-expanding record collection.
Dr. Sunjay provides care in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Chiman Lad
Dr. Chiman Lad established Lad Family Dentistry in 1977, creating a practice that has now served the San Gabriel Valley community for almost 50 years. His vision was to create a dental office where patients would be treated like family—receiving personalized attention, quality care, and honest recommendations.
With more than four decades of experience, Dr. Lad brings exceptional clinical expertise and a wealth of practical knowledge to each patient interaction. While he now practices part-time, his influence remains strong throughout the practice in the values, approach, and patient-centered philosophy that guides our team. His partnership with his son, Dr. Sunjay, represents the perfect blend of established experience and contemporary techniques, offering patients the benefits of traditional values combined with modern dental advances.
Dr. Lad takes particular pride in the multi-generational relationships he has built with patients over the decades. Many families who first visited him in the late 1970s continue to receive care at our practice, with their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren now becoming part of our dental family.
Dr. Lad is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society. In recognition of his commitment to leadership and professionalism in dentistry, Dr. Lad has been inducted as a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
When he’s not creating smiles, you can find Dr. Lad growing vegetables in his garden, building things with his grandkids, and skiing and hiking with his family.
Dr. Lad provides care in both English and Gujarati.

Your First Visit
Welcome In
We've designed your first visit to be comfortable, thorough, and informative. Our goal is to get to know you as a person, understand your dental history and goals, and create a foundation for a long-term relationship focused on your oral health.
The Experience
When you arrive, you'll be greeted by our friendly front office team who will help you with any remaining paperwork. During your appointment, we'll take the time to listen to your concerns and goals before conducting a comprehensive examination. Using tools like intraoral cameras, we'll show you exactly what we're seeing, involving you in the process and ensuring you understand your current oral health status.
What to Bring
To make your first visit as smooth as possible, please bring the following items:
Photo ID and insurance card (if applicable)
Completed new patient forms (available on our website) or arrive 15 minutes early to complete them
List of current medications and supplements
Information about your dental history, including recent treatments
Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss with the doctor

Digital X-rays
Our practice uses digital X-ray technology, which provides immediate, high-resolution images while significantly reducing radiation exposure compared to traditional film X-rays. This advanced imaging helps us detect issues earlier and plan treatments with greater precision.

Your comfort matters to us. We offer amenities including a beverage station to help you feel refreshed and noise-cancelling headphones to help you relax during treatment.
